Dr. Geoffrey Litner M.D., CCFP, M.B.A. HCM
Dr. Litner graduated medical school with honours from the University of Toronto where he was recipient of multiple awards for clinical proficiency and academic merit. He went on to complete his medical training at Women’s College Hospital, achieving Board certification in Family Medicine. Dr. Litner’s interest in medical administration and clinic operations led him to complete an MBA in Healthcare Management at the University of Phoenix in 2003. Over the course of his career, Dr. Litner has served in teaching and administrative capacities in multiple settings both within the community and within the Family Medicine Department at Women’s College Hospital. With a background in clinical epidemiology, Dr. Litner possesses a keen interest in evidence-based practice and has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed journals. |

Dr. Lance Ceresne B.A.Sc., M.D., CCFP
Dr. Ceresne graduated from Engineering Science at the University of Toronto and went on to study MR angiography in the department of Biophysics at Stanford University. He subsequently returned to Toronto where he completed his medical training and achieved Board certification in Family Medicine. Prior to joining MDDirect, he was occupied in the Family Medicine Department at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where he served as Family Medicine Residency Program Director, supervising the medical education of countless residents and medical students. His other responsibilities included coordinating Family Medicine Rounds, assisting in the development of an Office-based Clinical Procedures program, and delivering numerous lectures and seminars. Dr. Ceresne has received awards in both teaching and resident advocacy from the University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community Medicine. |

Dr. Lawrence B. Cohen M.D., M.Sc., FRCPC - Staff Gastroenterologist
Dr. Cohen received his Master of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto and his Doctor of Medicine from McMaster University. He then completed his Internal Medicine Fellowship and subspecialty training in Gastroenterology and Therapeutic Endoscopy in Toronto. Presently, he is Director of the Division of Gastroenterology, Chief of Medical Endoscopy at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Over the past twenty years, Dr. Cohen has been well published in peer-reviewed publications, and he has participated in numerous clinical trials in both gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Cohen is an active member of many medical associations, including the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology, Ontario Association of Gastroenterology, Canadian Medical Association, American College of Physicians and American Gastroenterology Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. |

Dr. Dana Jerome M.D., M.Ed., FRCPC - Staff Rheumatologist
Dr. Jerome completed her medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Western Ontario. She then went on to complete her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Ottawa followed by a Lupus fellowship at the University of Toronto. Dana also recently completed her Masters in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE)/ UofT. Presently, she is a Rheumatologist in the Department of Medicine at Women’s College Hospital where her clinical work is focused on general rheumatology with specialty clinics in Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis. She has received a number of university and hospital teaching awards and was a recipient of a Clinician Teacher award from The Arthritis Society. |

Dr. Kevin Sanders M.D., M.Ed., FRCPC - Staff Respirologist
Dr. Sanders completed his medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Toronto. He then completed a dual fellowship in respiratory medicine and intensive care at the University of Toronto. He also acquired a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology in the course of his training. Presently, he is a staff respirologist and intensivist at both Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and North York General Hospital, and is also the Deputy Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Co-Lead of the Critical Care Response Team at North York General Hospital. He has been published in many peer reviewed journals and has contributed to medical e ducation at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has received numerous awards for academic merit and research including the prestigious Young Investigators Award from the American College of Chest Physicians. |

Dr. Stacey Grossman M.D., FRCPC - Staff Gynecologist
Dr. Stacey Grossman completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 2003 followed by her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Toronto. She is currently covering busy obstetrics and gynecology practices at Mount Sinai Hospital. Her area of focus includes office and surgical gynecology with special interest in mature women’s health. Dr. Grossman has received a number of awards including the CREOG Leadership Award in 2007, a Resident Award for Teaching Excellence in 2006, and the Best Gynecology Paper Award for her research presented at the SOGC Clinical Conference in 2006. Her research has been submitted to and published in peer-reviewed journals. She has attended a number of conferences including a Leadership Conference dedicated to improving the skills, abilities and performance of physicians preparing to be teachers and leaders. |

Dr. Allan Eckhaus, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), Staff Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Allan Eckhaus graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 2000. He subsequently began his plastic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto and was selected to enter the Surgeon Scientist Program in 2002 topursue a Master’s of Science Degree. In 2004, Allan successfully defended his thesis on the use of biomaterials to enhance wound healing. He completed his plastic surgery residency training at the University of Toronto in 2007. Allan undertook post-graduate fellowship training in Melbourne, Australia to pursue subspecialty training in cosmetic plastic surgery, microvascular breast reconstruction, and post-bariatric body contouring. In Melbourne he worked under the expert guidance of internationally renowned plastic surgeons Mr. Howard Webster, Mr. Bryan Mendelson, and Mr. Richard Bloom. Allan’s research has been published in plastic surgery journals and he has presented at many national and international meetings. Allan’s interests are in breast surgery (both cosmetic and reconstructive), facial cosmetic surgery, body contouring surgery, and surgery after massive weight loss. He also spends a good portion of his practice on skin cancer and hand surgery. |

Dr. Jordan Weinstein M.D., FRCPC - Consultant Nephrologist
Dr. Weinstein completed his medical school and internal medicine training at the University of Toronto. He went on to complete a nephrology fellowship in Toronto. At present, he is a staff nephrologist and clinician teacher at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto and an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Weinstein's clinical interests focus on hypertension, kidney stones and chronic kidney disease management, including renal replacement therapy and related medications. He also has a strong interest in e-Learning and is the creator of UKidney.com, an online reference for nephrology and hypertension. Dr. Ethan Grober, M.D., FRCPS, Consultant Urologist
Dr. Ethan Grober is a native of Toronto, Canada. He is a fellowship trained specialist in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. He completed his medical school training at McMaster University in Ontario. Following medical school, Dr. Grober entered residency training in Urologic Surgery at the University of Toronto. During his residency, Dr. Grober participated in the Surgeon Scientist Program and obtained a Master’s Degree in Surgical Education. Cara Rosenbloom, Registered Dietician - Director of Clinical Nutrition
Cara holds a literature degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food & Nutrition from Ryerson University. She completed her dietetic internship at North York General Hospital and is currently a member of Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Cara has written and collaborated on nutrition articles for Canadian Living, Chatelaine, The Globe and Mail, The Hamilton Spectator, Reader’s Digest, Glow Magazine and many others. She has showcased her expertise as a guest on numerous TV programs including Three Takes, Breakfast Television, Real Life and The Right Fit, and is a popular radio personality on talk shows across Canada. Lucas Hann B. Kinesiology, D.C. (2009) - Director of Conditioning and Rehabilitation
Lucas graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree. He is currently a clinical intern in his final year of study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and will complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in June 2009. Lucas is a certified Kinesiologist (NLKA) and Personal Training Specialist (Can-Fit Pro). An expert in fitness assessments, functional training and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, Lucas has administered fitness test protocols and personal training for corporate clients, heath and wellness companies, and provincial emergency response departments. Lucas was also the Head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for Memorial University’s varsity athletic teams, as well as for members of the Senior Women’s National Basketball Team. He has provided fitness training for clients with a broad range of health conditions including arthritic, metabolic, neurological and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Joanne M. Grossman B.A., M.Ed., Ed.D. - Director of Counseling Services
Dr. Grossman received her B.A. from Brandeis University and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE). Following this, she completed advanced professional training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Institute of Community and Family Psychiatry, Jewish General Hospital, Montreal), and Mediation and Advanced Mediation Courses for the Family Practitioner (Law Society of Upper Canada). Dr. Grossman’s extensive counseling experience has provided her with the skills necessary to facilitate her clients’ personal growth and to develop the personal potential of both individuals and couples. She maintains a successful private practice in counseling, mediating, executive coaching, and organizational consulting. In addition, she has been teaching Organizational Behavior and other Management courses to undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA students at Canada’s leading business schools for more than 15 years. Paul Liang, D.C., C.M.A.A.C. - Acupuncture/Chiropractic
Paul is dually trained as a registered Chiropractor and certified Acupunturist in the province of Ontario.
